Hello fellow OIAA members –
As we mentioned in August, people around the world are reaching out to OIAA in a number of new ways. Therefore, we will break down the requests asking for help with drinking and show you how we received each one. The easiest way to do that is using tables with the data. Those are below.

Thank you for your quick reply, my interest is primarily in having access to having someone to talk to when I get an overwhelming craving for alcohol! I just got out of detox three days ago and the meetings are only weekly here. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share ! Thank you for your kindness.

One year ago, I woke up hungover and miserable. I typed a short note online, in desperation, seeking help. You all responded within hours.
I have read and re-read your notes this past year–a year in which I have not taken a drink. On the one hand, I can’t believe it’s been a year. On the other hand, it feels like a decade since then. Thanks to you, I’m sober, one day at a time. I’m healthier, more energetic, more thoughtful, more…me.
I just wanted to say thanks. In fact, I’ve been looking forward to sending this email for a couple of months now. At the same time, I was also horrified that I would fall off the wagon in the last weeks before this anniversary and not get to send it. I know you all can understand that feeling.
